   The School of Distance Education (SDE) commenced  its activities in 1990 to provide cost effective quality education to largest sections of the population including those living in remote and far flung areas.  With over a decade of existence, the SDE has carved a niche for its among the premier educational institutions in India and abroad.  Now SDE has 72 off campus centres – 64 within India and 8 abroad.The School of Distance Education is striding long steps towards democratization of higher education through off campus academic centres in India and abroad.

How to apply for Admission:- 
      
An applicant seeking admission to a particular course should take a DD of Rs 500/- for Centres in India and US $50 Dollars for International Centres. Centre co-coordinator will give a prospectus which will contain an application number and a secret key . Student can create an account using this application number and secret key ,through Mahatma Gandhi University official website . After creating account students will be able to register online . After the successful completion of registration student can take the print out of the application form. Student must hand over application form and original certificates to Centre co-ordinator .
                             The Centre co-ordinator will collect and keep the application form with all the certificate in original and demand draft towards course fee. The application of candidates who do not possess the minimum required qualifications will be summarily rejected by the Centre itself.
